Until now, If you are using a non jobber calendar to sync your Jobber schedule, appointments made in Jobber will not be updated on your website as unavailable for up to 12 hours.
This can create double bookings.
We automated the process to ensure your Jobber Created appointments are taken off of your website immediately.

Video Transcript: Fixing the Jobber Calendar Sync Delay
0:00
Hey everyone! I wanted to show you a fix we’ve put in place for a problem we noticed with our appointment booking system.
0:02
Currently, when someone uses the calendar on our website to book an appointment, that information goes straight to Jobber—great! The problem was with appointments created the other way around: when someone on your team, an employee, or even a call center books an appointment in Jobber manually, those appointments sync back to the website with up to a 12-hour delay.
0:20
That delay, according to Jobber, comes from Google. Essentially, if you book something directly in Jobber, that time slot wouldn’t show as unavailable on your website for as long as 12 hours. During busy seasons, that led to double bookings—something we really needed to fix.
0:44
So, we’ve solved that issue, and I want to show you how it works.
0:57
Let’s use an example. For our North Texas region, there are two different representatives who can go out and do quotes. We’ll take a look at Ryan’s schedule.
1:06
Let’s jump ahead in time to make sure the schedule is wide open. We’ll look at Friday, December 12th. You can see Ryan currently has 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, and 6:00 available.
1:22
Next, we’ll switch over to the Jobber calendar. Looking again at December 12th, we’ll create a new request—that part is important.
1:31
We’ll search for a client (I’ll just use some dummy data here), choose a property, and give it a title like “Test Appointment.”
1:48
We’ll make sure it’s assigned to the correct person—in this case, Ryan—and set the time. Let’s book this one for 12:00 p.m. on December 12th.
2:14
Now we’ll save it, and see how long the sync takes.
2:25
That saved at about 2:26. I’m watching the sync process now.
2:35
Okay, done! Let’s go back to Ryan’s calendar on the website for December 12th.
2:50
After refreshing the page—there it is—his 10:00 a.m. slot is now showing as unavailable.
2:58
So that change took about 4.5 seconds from creating it in Jobber to seeing it updated on the website. Lightning fast compared to the old 12-hour delay!
